Hello everyone! My name is Barry, and I’m excited to be your teacher this year. A little bit about me: I grew up in Dublin, Ireland and have always had a passion for history, English and new cultures. I graduated from Maynooth University, Ireland with a degree in history & Sociology, Dalarna University, Sweden with a masters degree in political science and I’ve been teaching for eight years.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, eating, art, watching movies , and I love to travel while experiencing everything about the culture of the country I am visiting. In the last year I have travelled to South Africa, Ivory Coast, Sweden, Poland and Germany. I believe that learning should be fun and engaging, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

This year, we’re going to explore whatever topics which you need to cover, and I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas on the topics we cover. I want to create a classroom where everyone feels safe to express themselves and share their unique perspectives.
