Hello! My name is Rommel Atijera, and I’m thrilled to be part of your learning journey. With nearly a decade of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to students worldwide, I specialize in IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, PTE, and other English exam preparation, as well as Business English and specialized courses. My passion for education extends beyond language learning, as I also teach subjects that explore the natural world, human culture, and critical thinking.

In addition to ESL, I teach Biology and Life Sciences, drawing from my university major. I have a deep appreciation for the wonders of life, from human anatomy and physiology to genetics, ecology, and environmental sustainability. I believe that science should be both engaging and practical, so I integrate real-world applications and inquiry-based discussions into my lessons to help students develop a strong scientific mindset.

Alongside science, I also teach Religion, a subject that has fascinated me through years of personal study. Exploring world religions allows students to understand different cultures, traditions, and philosophies, fostering open-mindedness and critical thinking. My approach to teaching religion is not just about learning facts but also about understanding how belief systems shape societies and influence human perspectives.

Beyond subject-based instruction, I support students in reading and writing interventions to strengthen literacy skills. I incorporate structured literacy methods to help learners overcome reading challenges. Additionally, I provide guidance in various forms of writing, including Essay Editing, IB Extended Essays, Technical and Creative Writing, Fiction and Expository Writing, catering to students from elementary to high school. I also assist with Study Skills and Organization coaching, helping learners develop effective study habits for academic success.

My teaching style is centered on individualized learning, recognizing that every student has unique strengths, challenges, and learning preferences. I design customized learning materials to enrich lessons, making them engaging, relevant, and tailored to each student's goals. I also believe in consistent constructive feedback, ensuring that students receive clear guidance on their progress while being encouraged to take ownership of their learning journey.
